Street Shots by Joe Wigfall

by admin

This is a real treat and very inspirational video clip from a great street photographer – Joe Wigfall, as he shows us his world from the hip and makes the city of New York his own personal studio.

Any time you have people and they’re alive, you’re going to have something going on.

Fixation

by admin

People often stare at things. If you ever notice, you’ll see its a very prevalent practice. This gentleman seemed to be fixated like he’d seen an extraterrestrial being. If you hunt the streets carefully and are ready then these images start to appear.

The Old Homestead

Feeling well with my blog has always been a concern to me. I’ve always wanted to do things to my templates that I was not able to do because of my lack of knowledge in CSS, HTML, and PHP always held me back.

Well, I’m finally at home with everything I’ve been wanting to do for a long time and my knowledge in those aforementioned areas has increased ten fold in three years.

What’s here? Well, my Link Log lives happily on the sidebar and also in its own “archive” page. My photoblog now is part of my blog alongside the more personal posts. Its all now one big soup bowl with a very well orchestrated layout which is easy to navigate and peruse.

Here’s to the future and my new happy home.

Your comments and faves are very appreciated. For those interested, the image is processed via Aperture 3 and Silver Efex Pro 2 with a preset I developed from the inspiration of Daido Moriyama.

Portraits are often boring if composed within the tradional parameters, you know, square view and click. But this one was very different.

Why Cubita Love? well, let me explain. Cuba has amazing expresso coffee and when she went home recently, she brought me some little coffee mugs and they said “Cubita” hence the nickname.

Zun Lee

Every once in a while something truly special happens. It can be an encounter with an old friend, a chat with your special loved one, or perhaps meeting someone new. Well, I had such a moment a few months ago when I discovered the work of Zun Lee over on Flickr. I’ve perused a multitude of streams and some have left me in awe but yet others have left an indelible impression on me — such is the power behind the images of Zun Lee. Folks, today Tog Series is proud to inaugurate with an amazing street photographer — Zun Lee.

Yepp, he’s watching…

Cohiba Havana Cuba

Cuba is a wonderful city filled with an entire Spanish culture worthy of a visit. This shot was taken by lovely lady ( she’s no photographer ) but as I explained the angles and lines work beautifully on this image, they add a certain jadedness to a subtle street scene and a dramatic tone which is so Cuban.
